Mikael A. Garcia, known as "Mike," has practiced law in Central Texas for nearly a decade. Graduating from the University of Texas in 2010 and St. Mary's Law School in 2015, he primarily focuses on wills, probate, and legislative law, policy, and procedure. While at St. Mary's, Mike served on the law journal where he honed his legal citation and research skills. These skills have translated to effective results for clients and legislators both in and out of the courtroom.
Mike worked in the Texas Legislature for fifteen years before opening a law practice in 2023. He served as Chief of Staff and General Counsel to several Legislators, provided legal and strategic legislative advice, and also drafted and checked bills for accuracy before Floor debate. He has spoken to numerous groups across Texas about both U.S. and Texas Constitutional issues.
In his free time, Mike teaches courses on Constitutional Law, Introduction to Law, Business Law, and Appellate Advocacy at Concordia University in Austin. He has been published twice in the Texas Review of Law and Politics—one of the premier journals at the University of Texas School of Law, and has filed several amicus briefs with the Texas Supreme Court on behalf of numerous legislators.
